    Sounds like the primary throttle plates are not set correctly. Take the carb off and set visually. I think thats what POS Dakota refers to in his post.

    Thanks Folks !! MY general concern is that I know I have a neutral convertor and the B&M flex plate for externally balanced 360 so goes the motor, I should be good. Thanks again !!

    I just put an M1 on my 360. It used the late model housing and is does use a diff thermostat from the LA housing. Bought the intake from Summit and they didnt tell of the difference until after I called them as to why the LA housing didnt fit.

    HEI distributor on 400 big block in 1974 Dodge Dart Sport

    I have one in my 68 B body. I have photos posted of the engine compartment in the gallery. I had to remove the wiper motor to run the HEI. The system works well and I haven't found a "stock" type unit I really like or am willing to spend even more dollars on. Just my $.02.
