I have a 67 318 im about to swap into my dart. The timing tab and pointer is missing. I purchased a mopar performance timing tape, and a piston stop. How exactly do I go about getting the timing tape put on at tdc? what do you recommend I use as a pointer?

Thanks everyone! doesnt make me feel so stressed. haha. But I only had the torque set for 20...I was using the original bolts. Maybe this is a sign to buy replacements.

I dont believe so. I think it broke inside the head.

Im in the process of rebuilding a 318. The heads I have on it have been shaved. As I was torquing the rocker shafts bolt one of them broke. :oops:maybe 3/4 of an inch is left in the head. Is it possible to fix without a new head? where can i buy a replacement bolt? :banghead::banghead:

Truthfully, im not sure, im at work right now and will have to check when i get home. Ive tried looking before just out of curiousity and couldnt find many markings on them. Ill have to scrutinize more closely this time. I do know theyve been lightened.

Its going to be a street car. but have some nice power. The motor came out of a drag racing polara. ran 13's with it. I broke 1 ring whenever i was taking the pistons out. Thata a bit on the high side though. What about the Hastings?

so after i read this question im curious...i just recently bought a built 318..i know nothing about. I'm taking it apart and its like a treasure chest. haha. but when i took the 4 cap bolts that the windage tray bolts to. there were two thick washers under them (maybe 5/8" total). Is this...
