    bye slant six, hello 318

I said that a STOCK 318 wont have much more power then a GOOD slant. I stand by that, especially an 80's low compression 2bbl 318. I even had one rebuilt to stock specs, bored 0.030 and it was just a big disappointment. To correctly put a small block in an A body where a slant was is a lot of...

    bye slant six, hello 318

Switching out a good slant for a stock 318 really ain't worth it. Less mpg and not much more power, plus it is a bigger pain in the *** to work on. Cut the head on the 6 about .100 and put at least a 2bbl on it, you will be quite close to a 318, put a cam in it and you can easily be more...

    413 motorhome/truck/industrial motor "chat"

This might be an idea. I was looking through mu books and noticed that a 383 and a 426 wedge have the same bore 4.250. I don't know if everything else is the same too. Mopar wqs known for just changing the stroke to change displacement. Might be something to look at for an off the shelf piston...

    413 motorhome/truck/industrial motor "chat"

Try egge.com a quick look found 426 wedge pistons std bore (.060 over for your 413) for $446.61 a set. I looked up a 63 engine. No 413 pistons though. Hope this helps TopHat
