    Aftermarket stereos

Silly question I suppose. I'm working on a stock 71 duster which had a factory radio. Are there adapter connectors to fit a cd(mp3 compatible) player with the stock wiring harness? Same goes for speakers. I'm not looking to put a huge system. Just a decent set of speakers and a head unit. Thanks...

    Aftermarket Wiring

So painless wiring is a "pain"? Lol. I used their TPI engine harness kit for my 92 camaro and I had to hack and lengthen all wires. I'd never deal with them again.

    recommended spark plug gap

Lastly, Any recommendations for Ignition wires? I have Accel 300+ but they're in need of replacement. I think MSD wires are overkill and my ignition system is basically stock. I do have Summit headers and it's in a 71' Duster.

    recommended spark plug gap

68' 340 with converted electrical distributor. Mild agressive cam with stock heads. I was thinking .035? I'm using regular champion copper plugs.

    Ignition switch

You guys have been more than helpful. I really do appreciate it. I was going through the whole wiring harness and the only possibility seems that its the fusible link. Getting power from the ignition switch when turning the key. Also getting power from Neutral Safety switch. This whole engine...

    Ignition switch

I came across an old manual. Looking at the schematic, isee a cross symbol. Is this a a harness connector? Lastly, i see a small junction connector with letters. Where would i be able to find this? I hate to be a pain in the rear, but weather isnt improving and i cant exactly work on the car...

    Ignition switch

They came equipped with neutral safety switches? The relay is working. I had my probe on the relay and had someone turn the switch. Not getting power. I wish i had a schematic for this thing.

    Ignition switch

Anyone happen to have a picture of one? I'm not getting power to the starter relay, so it seems that my ignition switch has gone bad. The car is a 1971 plymouth Duster. I can't tell if its in the steering column or dash? It isnt a tilt steering wheel if that helps any.

    340 Duster not getting spark.

Will do, thanks a million. Lastly, any recommendations for ignition coils? I asked autozone(parts store) for pricing on a 73' Duster(340) Reason i asked for this year is because they were installed with electronic distributors that year. Price for duralast was $29.00. Don't know if i want to...

    340 Duster not getting spark.

I believe its in the column. When i say i "Jumped" the switch, I meant the "starter relay or solenoid? It's located right by the battery on driver side front.

    340 Duster not getting spark.

Thanks man, you have no idea how good that sounds. Would you happen to know if Electronic distibutors and Points type distributors use different ignition coils?

    340 Duster not getting spark.

Here's the scenario. I have a 1971 Duster with a 340 from a 68' barricuda. Im assuming it was orginally a points type distributor. 2 years ago it didnt seem to start, ignition system was old, If i recall correctly it had an old style mallory distibutor. I ordered a mopar performance ignition...
