    it should be connected to the ign terminal, the field terminal will drop to about 5 volts or less when the batt is fully charged and there is a light load ... the choke will open faster when hooked up properly so you may have to reset it ...

    the alt you have cannot be converted to a 1 wire , you will ne to buy one... the switch you have in the back can be used if you run the output for the alt to the battery side of the switch. you will need to run a big (8 gauge or heavier wire) from the alt to the switch

    Not getting spark

    the pickup in the dist might be bad. disconenct the plug fro mthe dist and touch a jumper wire between the 2 connectors on the box side of the plug. If everything else is good you should get a spark each time you short the 2 pins together.

    The fusible link should go from the battery terminal on the starter relay to the bulkhead connector. I would start by chckeing for power on the dash side of the bulkhead connector. my guess is the bulkhead connector is causing the issue.

    Electical woes once more

    OK did you check the light green wire where is goes into the dimmer switch ? if it has 12 v when the switch is pulled out for the head lights there is nothing wrong with the headlight switch. If there is no 12v the head light switch is bad.

    I have the same setup. a ready to run dist with a blaster coil. I added the 6AL box and it made no difference at all. The only advantage you will get is that you will then have a rev limiter ... I took the 6AL box off and used it on another project ...
