    Can one replace a 5 Pin ECU with a 4 Pin Unit with no adverse effects? My car quit running away from home, my parts store had a 4 Pin unit in stock but had to order the 5 Pin unit which was 3 times the cost of the 4 Pin unit. I bought the 4 Pin unit and drove it home!8)

    how do i replace the magnetic pickup in the distributor?

    Go ahead and pull the distributor out, be sure to see which way the rotor is facing to make sure you're not out 180 degrees when you put it back in. Pull out the rotor. A screwdriver will pry out the reluctor, carefull though. Two screws will take out the whole assembly, with the pickup...
