If you're looking for the same type mount you have pictured thats rubber and thicker try one for a mid 80's truck with a 360. But I will warn you the rubber mounts won't hold up under torque they will break. Tie the motor down. My son has broken 3 sets of rubber ones in his truck, I keep telling...

I put the 596 on my 70 Duster that has a 73 spool mount k frame. I went with the 1 1/8" bar because I dropped in a BB. I put a 675 on the rear.

The oblong pad on the small clip push down on the top edge of the pad, The best I remember and the shape of both should match when bolted together.

I think what you're asking is are they on right. Looks like to me from the pics they are both upside down.

Is the tab part of the connector going to be where the hump is? If yes I would bend that side up enough to clear, weld the other side in place and form the other side either by welding a small section at a time and hammer it down or heat it with a torch and shape it in place with a hammer, then...
