Subscribed, I have the option to put a 440 with an 18 spline four speed in my Dart. The only thing that was stopping me was threat of poor handling.

Is there any specific way to remove a stuck torsion bar, or its the pipe wrench the best method? I have done this a few times, had one stuck on my Dart (hitting a curb didn't help tho) and I resorted to a pipe wrench and hammer to get it out

Well, how does it drive? Seeing how old the car is, it would be in your best intrest to rebuild the front end (ie, bushings, ball joints, and alinement). I'm not as experienced as most others on this site, but that seems like a good start. I noticed a big diffrence after I rebuild the front end...
