Thanks for the input guys. It turned out to be a sticking emergency brake. So I just used some brakekleen and cleaned both sides thoroughly. It's all good now.

Tomorrow I plan on changing out my brake booster for a new one and am a little confused. My 74 Dodge chassis manual says there are four bolts under the dash that will need to be taken out. However on my 74 Dart my booster is attached to four bolts under the hood with access right to the brake...

Thanks guys the advice of just releasing the lines to the master cylinder worked just fine. My friend and I will be working on it tomorrow at his shop.

I haven't tried that yet but it did enter my mind. I'll carefully try that if the line opening doesn't work.

I'll try opening the line from the rear of the reservoir early tomorrow morning and see if that works.

Front discs, rear drums, power.........were already a major issue before this hence getting the car towed. I'm just concerned I'm going to mess something up getting it towed on and off a flatbed with locked up front brakes.

Well I bench bled the master cylinder now I have no brakes at all!!!! Man don't you guys hate it when you make a problem worse?

Should I bleed the the cylinder itself? Or just throw it out and grab another?

I purchased the booster and master cylinder from The Paddock over a year ago. When I press slowly it continues to move and at speed it's soft then catches suddenly.

Yup I put in a new booster and reservoir about a year ago and it worked okay. Well it sat since then, was in the paint shop, so now it's giving me issues.

Okay guys, I actually went ahead and ordered both the master cylinder and booster together. They came as one package already bolted together. One guy says I don't have to bench bleed while another says I do. What is it?

I have bled my brakes before the standard way at the wheels. However what's the procedure for bleeding them at the master cylinder?
