    Rear Drums (Catching) (74 Dart)

Thanks for the input guys. It turned out to be a sticking emergency brake. So I just used some brakekleen and cleaned both sides thoroughly. It's all good now.

    Rear Drums (Catching) (74 Dart)

You know that is my fear also though I am hoping for something better. I believe it's a 7 1/4 but for sure is not the rear end that came with the car. I know that because many years ago when I was a teen the original went out and some friends of mine grabbed another from a junkyard.

    Rear Drums (Catching) (74 Dart)

When going in reverse I could feel and hear a slight catching in the rear. So I decided to jack up my Dart and noticed it was very hard to turn my rear wheels by hand. In fact about half way the wouldn't turn bad then they would catch the rest of the way. What is the issue? Out of round...

    Anti-Lock Brakes

I figured that might be a reason. However I ask because I think we have some pretty resourceful guys on this forum who have done some amazing things with their rides.

    Anti-Lock Brakes

Have any of you guys installed an anti-lock brake system in your A-body? I know we do a lot of things to modernize our street cars but I haven't noticed anyone doing this kind of mod yet.

    Brake Booster Removal/Install

Tomorrow I plan on changing out my brake booster for a new one and am a little confused. My 74 Dodge chassis manual says there are four bolts under the dash that will need to be taken out. However on my 74 Dart my booster is attached to four bolts under the hood with access right to the brake...

I haven't tried that yet but it did enter my mind. I'll carefully try that if the line opening doesn't work.

    Front Brakes Locked Up

Front discs, rear drums, power.........were already a major issue before this hence getting the car towed. I'm just concerned I'm going to mess something up getting it towed on and off a flatbed with locked up front brakes.

    Front Brakes Locked Up

Today while getting my 74 Dart out of storage and ready for towing tomorrow I noticed my front brakes are locked up. Any remedies for this before the tow comes over tomorrow? By the way I'm towing it to a friends shop so we can work on the brakes and put on my new intake/carb. I am very...

    Brake Issues (74 Dodge Dart)

My brakes were somewhat soft and twitchy so I just got done bleeding them. They work a little better, however I still have issues which can best be described like this. My pedal is soft then suddenly catches my brakes tightly. What could be the issue guys? Should I bleed my master cylinder?

    Bleeding Master Cylinder

Okay, everything looks good, brakes nice and easy with little effort. One problem though, I slightly overfilled the front reservoir so a little fluid was seaping out of the top. This happened when I really slammed the breaks for testing purposes. Will this level go down or have I screwed up...

    Bleeding Master Cylinder

Okay guys, I actually went ahead and ordered both the master cylinder and booster together. They came as one package already bolted together. One guy says I don't have to bench bleed while another says I do. What is it?
