I would start with it just about fully closed (almost no pressure to the rears). Then test (full lock up situation, may want to have wet pavement) then open slightly and then test and repeat until the rear brakes lock up before the fronts. Once the rears lock before the fronts, close it back...

I went from 10" manual Drum to manual disk with the kit from SSBC :thumbup: (M/C included), and i find it much beter. I didn't notice much diffrence in pedal effort but it stops quicker and straighter (could never get the drums adjusted to stop without pulling one way or the other).
