Ok guys after threads on the subject here and on another board I have come to the conclusion that the Edlebrock Thunder Series 650 will probably be the carb...I have brought home a TQ carb that came with the car also I was not sure if it was the original carb or not but it DID run before it was...

also found out I think at least that I also do NOT have the original TQ its a later series 9000(9147S to be exact) series TQ thats supposedly if I read the numbers right on Sizzlers site a smog era carb so now I am probably going to go with the 650 Thunderseries IF I can get one for a decent...

I don't have the RPM I have the regular old PERFORMER NOT the Performer RPM

Oh and as I have plenty of hood clerance with the 6 pack hood...I assume IF I did got the TQ route that id just need a adaptor anyways to run it right?

What intake is being run? right now its got a Edlebrock performer(not the RPM) and a 750 Eddie on it. ive got the original intake and TQ and a old Holley 600 out in the shed that I never could get set right on the RoadRunner when I had that.

if you want a better idling cam, maybe good vacuum for your power brakes(if you have any), then get a dual pattern cam. that means that the intake and exhaust have 2 different durations and lifts. one i got in it now is about as docile as it gets :) basicaly the stock grind. You said...

Ok guys basicaly decided on a 650 for the carb size for the 340. What brand? Got a Eddie on it right now and its ok but has bee modified for a much larger cam and has no choke plate etc....it runs but a "regular" carb is more in order than one worked for a biggger cam. Car specs in sig...

Much better than a chevy scoop on your Mopar....... Put that Cowl scoop on and see how many times someone says Nice Nova :). You made the right choice with going swith something Mopar.

Forward scoops are for Mopars Rear(cowl) scoops are for Chevys......... A cowl will sure make your Duster/Dart/Demon/Dart Sport look like a early Nova or later model(68-up)Nova.......ask me how I know.........:) and you will get a lot of....hey nice Nova with a Cowl scoop on.....that I also...
