    return line for EFI conversion

    Yes, with modified PROMs. I picked up 2 EEPROM's, modified them to fit into the GM ECU and burn them with the MOATES Burn 2 hardware. I use the CATS tuner program to alter the BIN files for more fuel, spark, etc. I just worked out all the kinks and went for my 1st test drive this weekend. PM...

    return line for EFI conversion

    Marcus, I'm installing the GM TBI on my 66 Barracuda and I just modified my sender for a 5/16 return and will use the 5/16 for supply as well. I was going to put the pump in the tank but changed my mind. Check the thread below and look for the latest post for a photo with my sending unit...

    opinions needed regarding available EFI for a small block

    I've started the install on my 66 'Cuda and will be documenting the progress over at the Early A Body Forums. You can follow it here. http://www.earlyabodyforum.com/board/messages/2/9253.html?1355011242

    opinions needed regarding available EFI for a small block

    I'll post picures in the coming months as I'm still gathering parts, but I think using the GM TBI system is the easiest way to retrofit a car to injection. Ill let you all know how the install goes. Parts are available anywhere cheap and if you follow the diagrams and instructions Bill has...

    Thermoquad question

    This is all good info. The more I look into them the more I like them. It keeps my MoPar all MoPar and it runs better than the new Eddy carb I have now. If anyone has a small block TQ to sell cheap I would be interested.

    Thermoquad question

    The carb I have with its stock jets and rods match with a earler model for a 340, the only difference being the bore size. The throttle response I have is a little flat with the bigger bore. Good info, thanks.

    Thermoquad question

    OK, I just repaired my TQ's warped bowl with the bowl from a donor carb. Pretty straight forward. Its a 9014 carb from a 1974 400 cid CA AT car. Trying to gain some fuel economy I just swapped the secondary jets from 5143 to 5137, the rods from 2005 to 2103 and left the 4098 primary jets in...

    fuel tank cleaning

    I agree with ToolManMike, just buy a new tank and sending unit. I had a small hole in mine and did an epoxy patch. It lasted a year. When the patch fell off there was a much bigger hole. It sucks spending money but the peace of mind you get with installin new parts is unmesureable. ALso try...

    Quadrajet

    I have been very happy with my TQ for the last few years and got good performance and fuel mileage. Last year on the trip to Carlisle, the center section warped and now I have the usual issues. It leaks and is hard to start, but it still runs good. My plan was to flat sand the center...

    Warped Thermoquad

    Thats exactly what I had in mind. Yes on a stock cast iron manifold. I'm guessing it should be blocked in some way to prevent the excess heat from getting to the carb. I'm sure that is closer to reality than I'd like to admit. I'll try the flat sanding with the understanding that if it...

    Warped Thermoquad

    I performed a full rebuild about three years ago with no issues. The car ran great getting 18 MPG. Now it leaks at the top of the carb between the center section and top of the carb. I just replaced the 2 gaskets that seal the center section to the top and bottom and it still leaks at the top...
