it gets so humid here some times that my tools inside the toolbox sweat. im just going to run the pcv valve.....as long as i can find a gromet that will fit the valve cover

the passenger valve cover has a 1.5" hole in the front with a baffle the drivers side has a 1.25" baffled hole in the front and a 1.5" non-baffeled hole in the back.... the back hole feels like it used to have the notches in it for the oil cap but it seems like they were smoothed out so it can...

so if i dont use a pcv valve then can i just plug the pcv port on the carb? if i do use a pcv valve can i just get the breathers with the pcv port? i already have M/T valve covers and 2 holes have baffles and 1 hole doesnt have a valve....so im just trying to figure out what to put where

does the pcv valve need to have a baffle in the valve cover or can it be baffleless?

do i absolutely need a pcv valve or can i just block the port off on an edelbrock carb?

well my goal is to get the car running and driving....then once its done, start changing things....and the first to go is going to be the 3.23 my last project car was a neon...i couldnt smash the gas in that thing either becuase all it would do is spin....so im kinda all ready used to the ease...

i am in the process of changing the car over to an auto and it has 3.23 gears....but soon im hopeing to throw some 4:10's in it... i think i will just go with the holly for now, being the friend that has it, said he will also tune it for me when it gets on the car.

a friend of mine has a freshly rebuilt holly 750 DP thats he wants $100 for. how well would that carb work?

im not stuck on thermo-quad by any means....this is just the only carb i had sitting around..... i have been thinking about going to the junk yard and picking up an edelbrock that i took off of a truck when i got my intake manifold.... so basically, i cant use this carb because its for a car...

can anyone tell me what all these hose fittings go to? specifically the small copper one on the left in the black portion? and does a hose hook up to the spot towards the right...on the front upper portion....where the 3 screws are?

well i am still really considering using the carb...mostly becuase its the only one i have right now and dont really have the money to get a different one. the model number seems to be missing, but i dont know if there is another one sumwhere or not. my main problem is that i have no idea...

is the thermoquad a good carb to use? i have a brand new one sitting in my garage that i was going to use on my 360 valiant project, but i dont know if im going to want to mess with all the adjustments and everything. i was thinking of just selling it and going with an edelbrock, but im not sure...

not that i am aware of, but i also dont know what a dominator carb is..... so then a drop base or a center base?

i was looking at some air cleaners at JEGS and found that most use a 5 1/8 inch center base or a drop base.... but some used a 7 5/16 centered dominator base which one would i need?

i was looking at the carb a bit ago and noticed that there isnt a stud comming out the middle of the carb....there are 3 studs though, but they are all offset. you can kinda see them in the pic:

i am putting a thermoquad on my 360 but i cant find an air cleaner that will fit it. i want a nice chrome one, but i dont want to buy one that wont sit ontop of the thermoquad properly. is there a special air cleaner that i need to get?
