Thanks for the feedback. I just cleaned up the rough areas in the casting and called it good. I'm working on 68 318 with a stock bottom end, Hughes Engine "Whiplash" cam and Edelbrock Airgap intake. Is there any other things to look for while doing this conversion?

I am putting magnum heads on my 318. I know that I need to grind clearance for the push rods but need to know how much to take out and where are the critical areas. Will the lift on the cam make a differance?
