    Part throttle bog then backfire?

    How large is the engine? Could be you are running too light of a spring in your vacuum secondary. Read your plugs whitish color indicates a lean condition. That is most likely the cause of your part throttle bog.

    Ya, I heard it gives a better rod ratio or something. And also reduces the rotating assembly weight. Thought it would be cool since i have everything but the pistons.

    I have a 1967 383 standard bore I am planning to build. I am going to use the stock forged crank. I have a set of 440 rods for floating .990 pins already . So the question is can I use these 440 rods in my stock stroke 383 with the right pistons? And what would the benefits be to a longer rod...
