    if you want to get technical, you should always use new keepers on new valves, like i stated, or if using old valves, the keepers should remain with the valve they were on, as they make a wear/mating pattern and changing this can theoretically cause cracking/breakage etc.

    Edelbrock! unless you like fiddling with the holley all the time I used to run a holley and switched to a Carter (nearly same thing as edelbrock) I put a kit in it, uped the jets a few steps and never had to touch it again

    Ive done hundreds of press pin installs...had a machine made to do it with a stop on it so all 8 would come out the same and in the right spot...and a special fixture for removing them in a press the max heat for the con rod is 450F make sure if you use stock type C clips on your floaters...

    performance curve distributor

    I just welded the slots shorter by 1/8" and filed until square, and swapped the heavy spring for a light one from another distributor total timing in by 3200 rpm, set to 32-34* at that rpm done!

    easy to recurve...all you need is a welder and file to shorten up the slots for the mechanical advance and lighter springs.... I even have a page right from Mopar in the 70s with 2 cartoon characters...it says remove the heavy spring and stretch the light one...May come in too quick doing this...
