    I know exactly what you mean, am thinking about cutting out the slotted part of the cowel, welding a frame around the opening and putting in a removable mesh so I can easily clean out any debris.

    65s, Thanks for the pic's, at least I have a much better idea where I need to go with this. Looks like a real PITA but better than wet feet and ruined carpets and floor pans.

    Not meaning to hijack the thread but.. I have the same water issue and have replaced the pivot seals and verified the seal of the windscreen and still getting my feet wet. Only place I can think of that water can still be coming in from would be due to rot around the "top hat" in the cowel...

    Rusted trunk.

    Creativity is the key to most low budget build up's. I'm not sure a wheel well is needed, I think there will be plenty of room for a spare or 2, jack etc and of course, all anchered for safety. But I will keep it in mind. Thanks for your thoughts on the subject.

    Thanks for the pics, looks nice and clean. Any idea if the trunk pan is structual? Before cutting anything out I would like to make sure nothing gets twisted/deformed so should I support anything to prevent any alignment issues? Steve..
