    I have 275/60R15 on my 64 Dart. Moved the springs in 3". Rolled the qtr lip a little. Still a tight fit. Rims are 15 x 8" with a 4 3/4" backspace.

    I say no. You never want more than 1" or 2" between rim and tire width.

    Lugs not staying tight

    Check the length of the lug nuts. If the shank is too long they will bottom out before being tight. I found this problem with my friend's car. We had too trim the ends a little and they were fine.
