    E body NP833

B&E bodies are the interchangeable except the per 69 trans don't have a shifter mount casted on the tailshaft for an E body. A bodies have much shorter tallshafts so no it won't work on your Barracuda

10" clutch kit comes with 9 1/4" disc.

I sold him that clutch, and I didn't realize that either, I actually had 2 kits, so I'd like to know as well. It's a LuK 05-004 replacement clutch. Anyone else use 1 off these? LuK Clutch Kits 05-004 I think the website was having issues, it posted my reply 3 times, and I ended up deleting them...

    HOW BAD IS IT!

Yeah I called the guy I bought it from, and he had said the drivetrain pulled out to have the engine rebuild, and then sent the engine and trans as an assembly to the guy doing the restoration, I guess nobody checked to see if there was oil in the trans in the process!

    HOW BAD IS IT!

Ok so I managed to get it out! What a B**ch! Did I mention that these are heavy! Turns there was only about a half pint of oil in it! :wtf: Look at how dry it is inside! See the bent Syncro (to the right) Here a piece of the a Syncro Fortunately these transmission are pretty stout because...

    HOW BAD IS IT!

The previous owner had it professionally restored, and it looks like the the header dumps were added later, and I'll bet the had lose the collectors to get it fit. I wish it it didn't have them they drag over the smallest bumps , and there are a few other issue such as the a cam is way to wild...

    HOW BAD IS IT!

So what you're saying I can pull the trans with the cross still in place by sliding the it back into the tunnel till the shaft clears and then dropping it out? Is there enough room to do this? I'll have to do some measuring to see it will work.

    HOW BAD IS IT!

Ok so since j par was cracking on me, and since I have the day off I decided to go ahead and pull the trans. The good part is since this car has been recently been restored, I didn't swallow any Mud Dubber nest while under the car. The bad part is the previous owner installed header dumps, and...

    HOW BAD IS IT!

I do know (so I've been told) that the engine is original to the car but the transmission is not (it was a 3 spd car) so I think pilot bushings should be ok. Again I'm going to have pull it and see :BangHead:

    HOW BAD IS IT!

It's the newer style with interlocks. If it's the diff. wouldn't I feel or hear some when I turn the rear wheel? Besides I can't get the trans in neutral so having just said that I'm thinking it's in the transmission itself. Looks like it's got to come out, again I wish I had a lift! Thanks...

I pulled the inspection cover and clutch looked almost new, all the release forks looked intact, is there to determine this is the case without removing everything?

That's my spare a body trans and it's actually in good shape, I believe the flash makes it look worse than it is.

    HOW BAD IS IT!

I just bought a 73 Challenger with a 4 spd. When test drove it the trans made all kinds of racket, but it seems to go in gear ok and the noise went away when I put t he the clutch in so I assumed it probably had a bad bearing. I towed it home and and I would only move in and out of the garage to...

Please Help Me Identify What I Have

Well I think the one I have has been pieced together then since its got a cast iron tall shaft and the old style shift cover. Is there a way I can tell if it's an OD by looking at the internals?
