    1958 Super Red Ram HELP

I don't have the car anymore, but it was a listed option in the owners manual and the old Motors Manual I have at home. If I can find it, I will copy and post.

    1958 Super Red Ram HELP

1955 Dodge offered (3) versions.... RedRam = poly head 2bbl. Super RedRam =4bbl.poly and lastly ...a Super Red Ram 4bbl. "dual Rocker" (hemi) head 270. If I recall, it's been 6yrs since I had mine and read everything I could on them. So don't shoot the messenger.

    1958 Super Red Ram HELP

Early poly's are impossible to get parts for, I had a '55 Coronet that had the 270cid. nothing from early polys will interchange with the later "wide block" 318 poly either. it's a conversation piece if anything. Prior to 1959 each division had their own versions of them too. Desoto had one...

    1960-1962 Valiant/Lancer thread

I had this one when I joined here.....sold it to a guy in Canada who has since put a big block and a tube chassis under it. I see in the fourth pic, there's a 55 Dodge in the background, any chance of getting some parts?? Look at my avatar and you'll see why I ask.

    Pre-A small block

Yep......actually 61 to 66 Valiant and 63 to 66 Dart K frames are the same all you need is V8 mounts which started in the A-bodies in 64 with the 273. I put a 318 in my 62 Valiant wagon without changing the slant 6 K-frame, you'll have to wrangle a pair of early mounts. I used Spitfire headers...

    Spitfire Headers

I got a set from him in late 2003, they were $150 then COD. It took about a month and I spoke to Harold personally. Rich Ehrenberg from Mopar Action put me in touch with him. They fit great on the 318 I put in my 62 Valiant wagon, sounded good, and made decent power. I'd buy them again if I had...

    273????

The article I have is old and I don't know what it came out of, but it says the 1966 D-Dart had a 700cfm carb and .500 lift solid lifter cam with 10:1 compression, 275hp. Sorry I couldn't help more with this. The D-Dart was the famed Drag race only package that was manufactured. I think the...

    273????

A good valve job and some mild port work & gasket match works well with the little 273 heads. You can use either the Edelbrock or Carter 500cfm version carb they are about the same. I think Holley is even making a smaller version 4bbl now. Check Summit & Jegs's catalogs. I wish I still had the...

    Early "A" driveshaft safety loop

    Early "A" driveshaft safety loop

I used a bolt in from Summit on my 62 Valiant, the floor board type, I also beefed up where it mounted too.

    Early A's getting pricey

I usually find good deals at the Mid-Ohio Mopars swaps and Chrysler Classics. Most of the vendors are MoPar guys selling MoPar stuff..not Brand X guys jumping on the band wagon. The Nats are a joke and so is Carlisle price wise. There was a fool there at the Nats selling electronic Ign kits for...

    Early A's getting pricey

I consider early A-bodies 1960- 1966, they all had the same K-frame etc. up to then. The early Lancers and Valiants were "so ugly they were cool".I was told by a friend of mine. I like my 62 Valiant wagon, but my bills like money so she's gotta go. The A-bodies in general were set up to be...
