    66 Dart Owners thread

Hey ohio joe that car would look great with a set of champion 5 star wheels on it. The black and chrome ones.

    Big Block ?

The B motor would actually be harder to install. The heads are going to sit down lower which is going to make it closer to the shock towers and inner fenders. I just dropped my new 440 into our 66 dart last night. It is a tight fit and takes a little work to make it go but I love seeing...

    Big Block ?

Me and my dad dropped a 440 into our 66 dart race car. It takes a little work but it can be done. I will try to get some pics of it and post them.

advice on a bb in a 66 dart

Its not that big of deal to put a 44 in a 66 dart. Since this pic was taken we have raced the car about 5 times. Best time so far is 11.78 with just an old truck motor in it.

    Ceter Link Help

I worked in a front end shop for years and the best way I have found is to, put the nuts on just a few threads and tack a good size hammer and smack the center link by the stud in a downward motion. They usually pop right off. The pickle forks work but if your not careful you will rip the boot...

    440 In a 66 Dart GT

Yea the reason I had to move them was because of the 67 up headers. I lloked all over for an early a set of headers but just couldnt find them. I was close to building a set myself but I cam across this set resonably cheap and figure I could make them work. Next problem I can see is an oil...

    440 In a 66 Dart GT

Im going to go back and dress up the holes once we get everything fitted. I actually had to move the shock location forward about 3/4" to get the 2nd pipe back to fit. I will try to get some pics of the hole once I get them finished without the headers in them. We are getting rid of the solid...

    440 In a 66 Dart GT

Yea the reason we were going to move the master cyclinder is because of the vavle cover. The engine and tranny are sitting in the stock location. The master cyclinder would probably bolt up in stock location with thte vavle covers but you would never get them off to adjust the vavles. I was...

    440 In a 66 Dart GT

It has a solid tranny mount on it right now but I will be going with a rubber mount. I have the aluminum 2 bolt master cyclinder and was planning on using the top 2 bolts of that are already there and just move the rod up on the pedal. I'm glad you had pics of the master cyclinder with the...

    440 In a 66 Dart GT

I didnt have to cut the headers up at all. The front engine plate is the one from mancini for a 67 up a-body. and the tranny is close, i mean real close to the tunnel. I will probably be moving the tunnel up about an inch so we can get a tranny blanket on the car.

    440 In a 66 Dart GT

We finally got the 440 set in place tonight and got the fenderwell headers to fit. It took a ton of cutting and is going to take alot of welding to get the headers to fit right. The headers are for a 67 up a body.

    Mopar Nat's

The track is about 25 minutes east of downtown coloumbus. I would look around the southern loop of 270 that way you can hop on 270 and run it around to 70 and be there in no time.
