    Battery impact guns

I have a set of M12’s that I’ve had for close to 10 years. The original batteries have pretty much give up, and I’ve upgraded to some brushless tools, but they’re all still working fine. I had a set of Porter Cable 20 volt that are still working fine. I passed them onto my nephew, and have...

    Battery impact guns

I carry mine in my truck. Only had to use it once, but glad it had a battery as there wasn’t any place close to plug it in.

    Battery impact guns

Many 1/2 tons. My Ram is 130. Still yet, most impacts are rated higher than that. I stand by my suggestion. Impact until snug, finish with a torque wrench.

    Battery impact guns

Regardless of battery or air, when I use my impacts, I just bring them up snug and finish with a torque wrench. Most car lug nuts call for 100 lb/ft and trucks 110. Most impacts have way more than that.

    Tool cart

I compared it to the Blue Point one at my Buddies body shop. It was over $800, and I like this one better.

    Tool cart

Picked this 5 drawer tool cart up at Harbor Freight. On sale for $199. It’s heavy, and appears to be heavy duty. The slides on the drawers are smooth.

    Price of copper tubing!

My nephew hit me up about 2 months ago about buying 7 lots, all ready to build on. Really good price on the lots, but I asked him if he had checked on building materials, and what it would cost to build a spec house. That ended that.

    Flare Tool Wing Nut

Our local Ace Hardware carries all kind of stuff like that.

Engine stand that won't break the bank or kill me

I give up. This is not the only bad deal I have had with him. I'm done. He'll never get help/borrow anything else from me. I told his brother the other day, if he can live with it, I can live without it.

Engine stand that won't break the bank or kill me

I had one of these that I loaned to a nephew. What I got back, is one of these. Gotta love family!!

Engine stand that won't break the bank or kill me

I have two tri pods that I won't use. (I didn't buy either one) They'll hold an engine up ok, but I've come too close to turning one over when trying to move it.

    Harbor Freight Jack Stand Recall

Mine are 6 ton. I've had them for years, with no problems. Much like the engine stands, they have some cheap ones, and some not so cheap. I wouldn't have the cheap engine stands, or jack stands from HF, or anywhere else.

Engine stand that won't break the bank or kill me

I have a couple of the Harbor Freight ones. No problems so far, and I have had an engine sitting on one for at least 15 years. I did take a 4X4 and lay it across the legs, then cut a 2X4 to hold the front of the motor up, just so the weight won't be all on the back.

    need a new chainsaw

I have a Stihl, a Poulan Pro, along with a Crafrsman, and and old Homelite. They all do a good job. The reason I'm considering a Kobalt 80 volt, is with my shoulders giving me trouble, I wouldn't have to be jerking on a rope, plus no more often than I use one, I wouldn't have to dump the fuel...

    need a new chainsaw

I don't have one, but i am considering getting one. Talked to a couple guys that have one at Lowes, and they swear by them. Several other tools that use the same battery. If you don't use it very often, you don't have to worry about gas going bad either...

whats everyone using to carry tools around.

Thanks. I dropped by Menards today, and they still had some of these. 3 bags were gone. https://www.menards.com/main/tools/tool-storage/tool-bags/mcguire-nicholas-reg-tool-storage-combo-3-piece/22015-vp/p-1493360383804-c-9186.htm

whats everyone using to carry tools around.

These. $5.99 with a coupon at Harbor Freight. I keep one, with just enough tools to probably piss you off, in each one of my rigs.

    1/2 cordless impact opinions

I have a Milwaukee M12 1/4 “ impact. 100 lb ft of torque. Pretty handy. I use my 1/2 “ 20 volt Porter Cable got heavier stuff.

    'Coons on the roof

Never had to eliminate one, but I have heard at least a .22 Mag for those critters. Friend of mine said he shot one with a .22 4 times, before pulling out his 9mm.

    'Coons on the roof

Pussum on the half shell. Harder to kill than a Opossum.

    'Coons on the roof

Never saw a BB gun, and very few pellet rifles that will take out a coon. Pretty tough animals.

    'Coons on the roof

I'm sure they do, but what I have been told around here, the worst predator for turkey and quail nests are feral cats

    'Coons on the roof

I have some land in the country. Mostly timber. If I catch a opossum, it goes right there. One opossum will eat as many as 5,000 ticks in a season. If you know anything about Missouri woods, that makes them an asset. Haven't had any coons around, but they wouldn't be quite so lucky.

    'Coons on the roof

I have some sub sonic .22's that work pretty good on groundhogs here in town. I had a problem with opossum's a few years ago for some reason getting on my roof. Live trapped them, then took them out in the country.

How Do You Care For Your Hands--Or Don't You?

I wear nitrile gloves for working on oily/greasy stuff. Cutting meat for 48 years, I had a lot of problems with dry chapped hands. Best thing worked for me was Vaseline. I would rub it into my hands real well before bed, then either put some old socks over my hands, or a pair of cotton gloves.

    Extension Cord Fried

Some of us have to learn from experience. When I was young, and poorer than I am now, I ran a skill saw on a 100 ft, 16 gauge cord. Burnt the saw up. I use 12 gauge for anything more than lights now.

Need torque wrenches, looking for suggestions. What's the sweet spot for price/quality?

I have had a Harbor Freight one for several years. I'm not a mechanic, so I don't use it daily, but I'm pretty happy with the service I have gotten out of it. Check the reviews on them. Pretty impressive for a cheap tool.

    Cordless drill/driver/impact for dummies!

I have Porter Cable 20 volt tools, and I'm very happy with them. Impact is rated I believe at 110 ft lbs.
