    Gasket genius: We need you now!

    I used some make it yourself gasket material and made it the size of the MC and cut the inside out hollow. It was just thick enough with the rubber gasket the lid comes with to really make the MC lid tight enough not too leak.

    Help-Brake bleeding failure

    Get yourself some speed bleeders to replace the regular bleeders. Crack all four open and pump away. They have an internal valve so they don't let air back in when pumping the pedal.

    I just went through this same problem, four wheel drum MC. I bought some gasket material and cut it the size of the MC gasket hollowed out the center so the two cups can move up and down and placed it between the metal cap and gasket and the cover went on much tighter. It didn't leak so far but...

    I am looking for a master cylinder cover and rubber gasket for a 1971 drum brake A body. Does anyone know of someone who sells them? Thank you.

    How would you do it?

    Brake lines are one area I would not go cheap on. For safety and ease I would buy pre-bent. Something else to consider is how much your time is worth to bend and fit new lines as apposed to the cost of pre-bent?

    Thanks, i'll give it a try, i was having problems fitting the box end between the brake pedal and assembly to get to the bolt...maybe a thinner box wrench?

    I am having alot of trouble removing my drum brake rod from the brake pedal, it already popped off the master cylinder. Is there a trick to this, any wrench that has worked? Thanks
