I am not sure about Darts but I found by accident on the Duster the radiator support that the latch is attached too can be adjusted. It is attached by a bolt on each side and can be moved side to side enough to get the gaps adjusted. I actually did mine after discovering this.

Odd timing that this post came back up but...I just finished restoring the sharktooth grill in the Duster and found that the brace that houses the latch, that runs from fender to fender is adjustable. I moved it about an 1/8 of an inch and my hood gaps at the fenders are now perfect.

Does anyone know where to find these nuts? Thank you.

I was curious if anyone was into 3D printing and had a thought. Could a mask for spraying the black on the fins of the Duster sharktooth grill be made? Even if the mask was only for one or two sections of the fins to be painted at a time. I think this would be a useful tool and may look into 3D...

Vinyl tops were a design element. On some cars they look great, on others they look like an afterthought and do not follow the body lines and shapes as well. They also were not designed to last 50 years, 5 to 7 years or 100K miles was all you usually got from this era car.

Original FJ6 car. It's a great color and looks completely different under different lighting. You do need something to offset it though. When I had my car painted and before the stripes and organosol was put on I almost wished it was a different color. It is too much all on it's own!

I have the "factory" Organasol that YEAR ONE was selling in the 1990s. The best product I found for keeping it clean is Wizards Quick Detail (22oz Wipe Down Matte Detailer). I get mine on Amazon.

Thanks everyone. I will give the Krylon a go. My car is a V24 and has the original grill which was silver and the black was painted. I know the 340 wedge decal could be bought at the dealer back in the day, but a V24 with no organasol has got to be a rare car!

I have several times. Masking tape is your best friend.

I got one at the end of last winter. I just bent the tabs on the battery hold down out slightly. It isn't noticeable unless you are looking for it.

I will tell you their high heat paint is awesome. I put that on the exhaust manifolds in color gray over five years ago and they still look great.

This is a tough question to answer with words and not the actual showing and demonstrating. I am not a body man but did take a classic auto body restoration course and did learn some dent pounding. I would get the correct metal clips, even oversized if necessary. The seals I bought were from top cat whiskers and it fit perfectly. I bought from another company first that fit like garbage and threw it away.
