    400/450 stroker....Cheap parts, lotta work.

I can relate, back in the early 80s I worked at a foreign auto shop. The owners were involved in IMSA racing and had a DATSUN sedan. I was the engine builder and we took it to a shop in our area that had a engine dyno….as the rpm went up I started backing up…good memories.

    A body exhaust manifolds.

I know they aren’t currently available but I have zero complaints about my Schumacher headers. Plugs are easy to change, plenty of room for a mini starter, no leaks.

Same issue with my Duster...stock 383, Champion 22” radiator, new high flow 180 thermostat I checked on the kitchen stove top, 7 blade fan w/no clutch, repop modified shroud. Runs 160 or so usually. The only time it will get 200+ is idling for an extended period during our blast furnace...

Which Valve Springs with Purple Shaft P4102661?

Bigger lash spec on the exhaust valve was probably so it could spend more time on the seat for heat transfer

    Power Steering Questions

electric to me is a no go.........you will still have 5.5 turns lock to lock unless you have the quick steering ratio idler and pitman arms, most manual boxes are worn out, another major electric load to deal with.........Borgeson looks like the way to go to me unless you have a numbers matching...

I bought a pair of E-Streets for my 383 (have not put them on yet....). I believe they only come with angle plugs...anyway my research on this site and calling Schumacher (I have them on my car already) is the angle plugs are not an issue.

School me on these 440 heads?

I bought a built 383 from a guy that changed directions and the receipts showed he spent $1600 on the 906 heads on it...new valves, comp Springs, Teflon stem seals, very mild port clean up....etc

68 Dodge Dart with 440 Cooling recommendation

There was a thread on here where they had cooling problems and blocking off the hood scoop lowered the water temperature. Is your scoop sealed to the carburetor or open to the engine compartment?
