Yea Auto Zone only lists the 9in drum. I guess the $68 each on ebay is as cheep as it gets. BD60123 is the only part number I have found. I just hope they are really small pattern!

Has any one found a source for A-body 10in drums for the 8 3/4? Getting things together to redo mine, and can not find a source for reasonably priced drums. The cheapest I have found in $68 + shipping and that is on Ebay. Seems rather steep when you can get the 10in front ones for only $28...

When you swap out the front 10in drums I will take them off of your hands! LOL

Thanks! If that is the case I will have to stick with the small pattern axles. As I have drums in the front "soon to be 10in" I do not want bigger ones in the rear. And have no intention of changing to a disc front. I wonder if I can just have my small pattern drums redriled for the larger...

What drums are people using when they change there A-body 8 3/4 over to the large wheel pattern? I think mine has the factory 10 by 1 3/4 small pattern drums on it right now. Thanks!!!

Thanks! Sucks I just put all new front brakes on it. New drums, hubs bearings, wheel cylinders, pads, and NOS grease caps. Can I switch to the 10in front drums with out changing the spindles???

Well while doing my suspension up grade tonight I noticed my 8 3/4 on my early dart as the big 10in brakes while I have the 9in up front. I know not good. Can any one tell me if the backing plates and all off of a 7 1/4 will fit an 8 3/4?? That would be nice then I could just swap them out...

Yea, I just have RH threads all the way around my car, as the 8 3/4 under it has RH on both sides, I just use RH hubs up front. That way there is no thinking which way to turn when I remove a wheel. That and it is a lot easer to find chrome lug nuts in RH thread! LOL

Simple, They are on LH threaded hubs. And I want to save the drums for my RH threaded hubs. I will never use the LH hubs. Thanks

OK I have been collecting spare hub and drum assemblies for my dart. Well I have been trying to remove the drums from the LH threaded hubs to save. Well I can not seem to get them off with out putting them in a press and pressing the hub out of the drum. And it ruins the drum, as the middle...

Any one happen to know the purpose of the spring that goes around the outside of the stock early A body drums?? I figured it was ether a heat sink for cooling, or had something to do with harmonics. Any one know for sure?????

Any one know a source for early A 9in brake hub parts. Specifically grease seals, and wheel bearing caps? Some one totally trashed my caps with a hammer, and I can not find new ones listed in any of the catalogs. All the ones I find say not for 9in brakes. Thanks!!!!!

My only reason is safety. With the single cylinder if you blow a line you loose all brakes. With the duel in theory you only loose half you brakes. If you blow a front line you loose only your front brakes. If you blow a back line you loose only your back brakes. Were I live with windy...
