my buddy just did a complete front clip on a number AAR cuda, frame rails, rad support swap etc...wasent bad at all, he figured it was harder to line up a set of OEM quarters

so alot of you dont know, but this project was a father son project i planned on giving to my dad when it was done. got a call today from my dad, offering his fully restored 68 dart as a straight trade for this car as is.....needless to say i took the trade, so heres the pics of the new car...

sorry for the small pics, did some work on the money pit today, and snapped a few pics the dust is building up under the hood rear quarters on and primered skim coat of filler to finish off the new tubs and trunk floor....now can fit a 325 tire!!

thanks the body work is starting tomorrow, today i got the door latches redone, all the front brakes done, bought a NOS gastank, funds are running low, as of now, im into the car for over $16,000!! and that doesnt include the motor, i have 60hrs into both quarters, both minni tubs, rear...

things have been a little slow....i now have hired someone to do the body work because i lack time, but the minni tub is done, floors have been done, seamsealed, then sealed with POR 15. ive had the heads dent out to a local guy for port work and bigger valves...and a 360 with a fresh rebuild...

my tub is to my frame rail.

some more progress, the minni tub is done, using the stock tubs, the new quarters are on, AMD makes AWESOME metal!!! keep in mind, i started with this.

its actually a custom color...mix of red and orange....no yellow added. had a few drinks...mixed a color...and this is what came out,

well, today i ordered my quaters from AMD, and bought a built 408 stroker, ive been thinking about it and i might be going with a 727 auto over the 4spd, only reason being is now that i got the 408, im going to be "driving" the car, and i think with a 4spd, and the motor/cam, wont be the...

my spring relacation kit came today, and i got both my front fenders blasted, primed, sanded, and primed again, stripped them down to bare metal, trunk pan should be in later this week, tomorrow im stripping the floor boards, and going to apply "por15" and get started on the spring...

if your looking for the "flatblack" look, PPG make a real nice "satin" look, called hotrod black, like on the old 30's roadsters.

im also redoing the dorr latch pin,the metal supporting the door latch has become weak, and even cracked does anyone have pictures of how they did theirs? we did them in my dads 68 dart, but id like to see some more examples for refrence

well, made mycolor choice, sassy grass green today i got the roof down to bare metal, all the drip rails too....grinded out all the seam filler to bare metal also (on the drip rail) and put in new sealer, and also welded up the lower rocker trim holes.... now i am ready to take off the...

well, ive narrowed it down to 2 colors.....sassy grass green, and orange....either was its goin to have a black vinal, gloss black hood with orange/green divider in the middle of the hood and a black tail stripe

stil not sure of the color....i have it down to sassy grass, plum crazy, or orange....i want to get the engine conpartment painted so ican focus on the motor

put a coat of etching primer over the bare metal, then i used an epoxy primer, shot it from a gun, now i have some more filler and a couple hours to smooth out the firewall, then final coat of primer, final sand then paint
