What do any of these kits do about the connection at the firewall? I'm assuming that's the mentioned bulkhead connector? I'm going to be redoing the wiring in my '65 front to back and haven't seen the type of connection that's used.

I put one on my 98 chevy, followed the directions to a T and never had a single issue with it. It was bull dog brand i think. I'd never bat an eye at installing another one.

Do the reverse lights come on when you actually put the car into reverse? Maybe its a manual reverse light switch?

Has anyone built thier own? I'm not wanting to spend thousands of dollars on buying one from a company that reproduces them. How hard is it, and does anyone have a link to a site that has a schematic that i can use to build one of my own?
