where did they put the electric fan? Front of radiator as a "pusher" fan doesn't work. I have a 16" SPAL puller fan on mine because of limited room with an electric water pump and it moves 1600CFM. It will keep mine from going over 210, but there is no substitute for an engine driven clutch fan...

with 298,000 miles, if you haven't put a radiator in it I would suspect it.

I have it in the radiator right now, I'd say it brought the max temp down about 15 degrees and the car cools down quicker.

My 360 runs hot in traffic(210) but before I added som Purple Ice it would go to 220+. I don't know what the stuff is, but it lowered the temp 15* on my engine. Just 2c.

I've heard that....how far should an electric fan be from the core? I have mine right against it and it doesn't seem to cool very well. Suggestions?

I used the SUM-380460 in my 66 and the core is as wide as the opening in the core support (22"). With electric fans and a 12.5:1 360, cooling is marginal, but I need to put some more miles on the engine before I start changing things. With a milder engine I think it would work.

I also have a 22" alum radiator and 2 fans. I have a 14" puller, and it was not enough to cool it. I added a 10" pusher, I hope it stays below 210*, I didn't expect to have cooling probs so this summer will be the test.

Had the same prob with my 360 w/Moroso electric pump. I wound up gutting the thermostat and using it as a restrictor. Last saturday, the ambient temp here was in the 60's and the engine stayed around 180-190 sitting still. It takes a little to warm it up but at least it doesn't go up to 230 like...

I am going to run a Moroso electric pump and you can swap inlet side around on it.

I know that fbo is selling universal radiators pretty cheap but I don't want to do that much fabrication, Summit has a direct fit for 252 with trans cooler. My car will see more strip than street action with a fairly hot 360 and 3500 stall 904. Anyone have a comment on these universal "direct...
