That would probably work ok You could try your local auto parts store for a remanufactured carb for about half that price or rockauto at around 125.00

The 3229 stamped number is the list number. That should be a 66-67 Dodge truck 225 auto carb.

I had a similar problem on a 62 Dodge D100 years ago and it was the distributor bushings were bad. Replaced the bushings and that fixed it.
