Why are they worried you are going to start building 855s yourself or something...seems like something they could provide after all the headaches you have had

I would even ask John to sell it for you after it’s fixed even if you have to take a bit of a kicking on it... you could likely get enough to buy a T56 or a TKO. Morals and karma aside when you buy a cottage industry product of this type you are almost guaranteed to have problems...don’t matter...

Even with the known issues there is a list of people who want these transmissions... not any different than when people buy exotic cars that are unreliable or require high maintenance...If I was him I would be getting rid of it when he gets it back

If you ever update to a T56 and are selling the Passon let me know

I'm debating the Passon overdrive vs the T56 for a current project as well...a local has a T56 magnum for sale so it may just come down to the fact I can drive over to his house and pick it up...but a part of me thinks the OD 4 speed would be good enough for what I want...

I think the writing is on the wall for these transmissions...hope you can get rid of it and move along to something else.

Try get a refund while they have the transmission at their shop, they have a long list of people who are waiting to get one, they can fix it sell it to the next happy customer...

Matton you seem like a good person so this is my advice...sell it to the next sucker while you still have the chance... once these 5 speeds start breaking (and they will) in a few years you likely won’t be able to get parts ... and it will be more worthless than it is currently. Put a TKO, T56...

In the other thread about the Passon 5 speed someone posted about future parts availability, to me that was the nail in the coffin at ever buying one. What are the chances of getting parts 10 years from now when they are having trouble producing them now, plus you are relying on a one man...

Not sure about an update but at this point you would have to be nuts to spend $5000 on a boutique transmission that already has known problems. I thought about one for a while but like 72blu said what good will it be when it breaks in 5 years and you can't get parts? At this point I think he...

The market would be a lot bigger if you could just pick up the phone and order one and have it in a week, I agree you could sell lots of them if you could get them. In my circle of Mopar friends he could have sold 10 of them this year alone, but the more time that passes the window may close...

It is baffling, if you could just pick up the phone and order one of these I would own at least one Passon 5 speed by now, but if I start thinking I will have to wait a year I just won't bother. I wonder how many more units he could have sold if he would of had a unlimited supply of them as soon...

Not sure if they have the A body kits out yet, but those things a rated at 700 lb-ft so it should be tough.
