What does this clutch switch do?

Years ago I stripped a clutch/brake pedal set out of an early 70s Duster. The clutch safety switch looked nothing like that one. You can go to Brewer's web site to see what they look like. I don't know if cruise control was ever offered on stick cars, but if it was that switch could have been...

    Bellhousing ID

Thanks for the info, I've had this thing kicking around for a long time, couldn't remember where it came from. Now that I know this I think it is out of a 69 340 Dart that I had a long time ago, It was rear ended and totaled by a drunk on Christmas Eve 40 years ago.

Very interesting thread, I learned something new. I had never seen the threaded linkage rod connections before as well as the push down to shift into reverse deal. I have a real early super shifter that doesn't have to be pushed down for reverse and typical clip on linkage rod connections. It...

    Passon 5-speed

It's hard to explain, but there's just something that's really satisfying about driving a car with a smooth shifting manual trans. Especially if it's behind a powerful V-8.

    Couple shifting problems..

If the thrust bearing is worn so much that the crank walks back and forth you're going to have bigger problems than clutch adjustment issues. The thrust bearing endplay is mere thousands of an inch, you should not be able to move the crank back and forth by hand. As mentioned above the throwout...
