It's possible you have a bad caliper or hose acting up with temperature. That's what stuck out in my mind after 20 miles. when I bought mine the original owner/builder replaced the front rails with 2x3"s from the rear crossmember forward. it was even built to ,mount the factory k and a tilt nose (steel). now its a hemi denny k with nose bars tied to the a pillars. so it can be done

I might have misunderstood your concern.the threaded end I had issues with was the end that attaches to the inner tie rod.

I used a jegs manual rack and Speedway M2 2" drop spindles with the Fatman tie rods.they were to short (not enough thread engagement).I ended up using Thunderbird ends suggested by another member in one of the hdk threads.

i did it( rear triangulated 4 link).it went well.they were decent to deal with and made a deal over the phone. i just took the rear and bars out to remove overspray (paints done).with inner tubs to the frame rails i comfortably fit 325's (15x10) with 5" backspace inside the fenders.

when i did mine (b-body) i bought an upper shock mount kit and installed it using a bolt from underneath . looked stock when done and i used the exposed "stud" for my plug wire brackets
