You want to quiet it down, you have to get rid of the Thrush and Bullet mufflers. they are straight threw. You need to get a turbo muffler that will still give you performance.

When I used the Schumacher mounts , you put the shims under the motor mounts to raise the motor a little at a time to get the clearance you need for thwe headers. I even use them on My 71 scamp just for more clearance on the oil filter when using a high volume oil pump. You may have a problem...

your trans may be level, but every car is different, thats why they give you the shims with the headers. I have seen a few like this.

Did you use the Schumacher mounts? If you did, the kit should come with shims. This way you can raise the motor to be level on either side or raise the motor higher

The only time I start getting to 200-210 degrees with the Schumacher headers is in stop and go traffic. Otherwise they work very nice.

I would agree. You can build your exhaust to go were you want with the Schumachers.

Harold is a real joke to deal with. I talk to him 5 times with in the last 2 months about a set of headers. He keeps telling me they are sent out or I forgot they will be sent out Friday. I would like to find someone else who can make or carries under chassy headers.

i used a universal set from Jegs. I was very happy with the results. I put every bend in the exhaust were I wanted it.

The Schumacher headers are great. I have my Scamp at 12.01@112mph with the mufflers on. It will hit 11s this spring with differents tires.
