Work got in the way for awhile but I did get the dash painted this morning, exterior color with matte clear

Its been awhile Ive been busy working Dambit. I got shoes put on the car 295/50-15s fit with plenty of room with the mini tubs

Made some real progress today. At least it rolls now

It gets to be a dark brown without direct light, hopefully the body lines will make it work.

Finally picked a color and started jamming it. VW Toffee Brown

It was nice out so I did some mock up today. Set it down on the K-frame and dropped the 440 in so I could see what needs relocated on the fire wall. Blower motor has to go everything else looks good. I need to call Vintage air and see where everything connects. Guess I'll be welding some holes...

They are stock to start with and I will most likely add caltracs or something later. A friend of mine that races a-bodies said the stock springs work well with them, we shall see.

Lets see I needed to get the Roadrunner out so I'm working in the gravel for the short term. I got the 8 3/4 narrowed and waiting on axels so I thought I'd put things together and make sure it fits. All is good when I swing the springs up to the frame.

Got them all welded in seam sealed and under coated but still have to finish in the trunk At least I can figure out how much to cut the diff down and paint the bottom. No pics black wheel wells aren't much to look at :D

Did some trimming today and started fitting. A bit more massaging and cleaning and the welding begins

Drilled out the spot welds and made my cuts to save the inner well. Now to trim things back to the frame. I'm learning as I go as far as the tubs :iconbigg:

Got the front end done but it looks like I'm going to have to flip the calipers do to the Adco sway bar. Not sure until I have the weight of the car on it to look at clearances unless some one already knows?

I got the hangers burned in but my sliders have too large of a bushing for the spring eye so that will take some additional work. Here is a pic of the 440, the trans is also ready but they make for boring pictures LOL
