I put a Grant GT in my dart when I sold the Rim Blow. I bought the correct adapter to mount it directly to the column (sold the adapter too) and it wasnt bad at all. It also gave me more room too by moving the wheel farther away- much more comfortable. You will have to bend the turn signal...
All right guys. Tomorrow is the day I sit the 383 in for the last time. I would like to know the proper way to put in a dist as far as #1 at top dead, etc, and what needs to line up or point to what after that. Thanks for the help.
The only bad thing about the DUI is that I dont think you can run the dist with the coil in it when you have a small block in an a body. I think there's a problem with firewall clearance.
Bad teeth on the ring gear could cause that. I used to see it a lot on older DT466 internationals. Took a few starter swaps to figure it out. See if you can turn it over with the inspection cover off and inspect all your teeth.
