What does the end play need to be set at, and how?

Yeah, the axles fit before. I'm running tapered bearings.

And just to be clear. The driveshaft doesnt need attached to the yoke correct? Because the yoke is just spinning free as I turn the axle.

I'm turning and pushing....and getting nowhere. Lol

So, is there any possibility of doing this with the SG staying in the member? I'm really trying to avoid removing the SG because I have no idea on how to set backlash or anything. And I just payed to have it all set up.

I've got a narrowed 8.75. I had the open 2:76's replaced with a cone suregrip and 3:91's. Now my axles will not push in all the way. The driver side is about an inch too long and the passenger about ½ inch. The retainer plate on the driver side is nowhere near able to bolt down and I can get the...

I may just get a new unit. The last thing I want to do is drop a couple hundred and it not work out for me.

360. 10.3 compression, 528 cam, 1.6 roller rockers, engine quest heads worked over, performer rpm intake, headers, 750 carb. I have no info on the 440. I was just told its a 3500 Hughes stall behind a 440.

So you're looking at about 3000 rpm then?

What would a 3500 BB stall give you behind a 360? I know its less, but how much less?

Its a 727.

So the B&m flexplate for the 360/727 will work with my current converter?

Ok. Im going from a 318 to a 360. The 360 is externally balanced. Can I use the stock "star" flexplate with my torque converter thats already on my 727 trans?

Yes, you will have to. The 8.75 center section is bigger than the 7.25. I'm not sure of the exact length, but yes, you will need to cut it.
