Nice! How are you attaching the harnesses? For safety reasons, you should not attach them to the floor directly from the back of the seat. They would need to be at the proper angle before being mounted.

From the front, if you look under the seat, you'll see two spots where it's hooked in. It should push back and unhook upward. Once the bottom is out, then the top part of the seat is held on by two bolts on the bottom of it. Then that part will push up and unhook too.

Yeah I'm definitely leaving the AM radio in there. It gets mostly static lol. I decided that I'll just put a second deck under the seat then connect the iPod there.

They call it dye but it still has the possibility to chip if it doesn't stick or penetrate the surface enough. Several coats should help prevent this tho

There are spray dyes for vinyl and plastic interior items. Mine came from YearOne. I painted the plastic armrest bases dark green in mine. It seems to stick well and dry fast. I did three coats within 10 min of each other. And yes, light coats! Hope yours dries better soon, good luck

I used the lower screw mounting point from the windshield pillar trim piece. No new holes drilled.

Maybe the a/c can be routed to that if it isn't already and use it as a mini fridge!

Yeah, it's for the flow through ventilation. As the manual says, when you are driving, you can open those doors and outside air comes in. Think it said the back windows should be open for them to work best.

Yeah since there was originally one speaker in the center of the dash. But still stuck. How would the AM stereo know if it is sending sound to two speakers or just one if they are just branching off. I know there wouldn't be a separate left and right channel but still, shouldn't it play in both?

Awesome! Yeah that's what I was looking for but only found FM ones online earlier. One thing though, I tried to hook up two speakers to my AM radio and it cuts out. It seems to only work with one speaker or the other. Is this because there isn't enough power for both?

Awesome! Later down the road if I do buckets, I would get modern seats but then have them upholstered to match the rear seat with a mix of the checkered black and green cloth and dark green leather or vinyl. There are a few companies that have access to the NOS original materials the factory used.

hahaha yup. Just interesting to see what is original on this thing. The seats are original and look awesome still other than a small rip across the drivers seat. The original lady that bought it new took really good care. She had it until around 2000 or so.
