    Northern Radiator Fan Shrouds?

I ran the engine fan with a 180 thermostat and no shroud for many years. Car never ran hotter than 185. Just a stock 318 with tons of miles on it.

    Northern Radiator Fan Shrouds?

Coalman, Derale 17318 was the engine driven fan I was using for 6 years. My motor is a 318 late 70s with power steering. no a/c. If you can use it, it's yours for shipping cost.

Recommend an AC system for my 68 Barracuda

I just heard back from Hemi Denny. He does make the brackets. Pics attached. He said $199 with spacers + shipping. I will use these for my 65 Valiant for sure.

That's cool. The person I spoke to at Classic last week was very helpful. I hope I'll be happy with their setup.

Recommend an AC system for my 68 Barracuda

Let me know how this works out. I'm putting a fitech system on so I won't have a fuel pump there anymore. I hate the compressor sitting on top of the motor like that. It might be easier to do that with the pre 70 water pump since the outlet is to the drivers side.

    Northern Radiator Fan Shrouds?

I didn't have much luck with electric fans many years ago. Burned up fan controllers and such. Not using a controller anymore with the Cuda. Just the temp switch. My fans on the Valiant are controlled by the Fitech system. Doing my 3rd car with fans this week.

    Northern Radiator Fan Shrouds?

I was using just a plain engine driven fan. I'll have to look at it when I get home. Got tired of the whirling noise from the fan. Switched to 2- 9" electric fans on the Cuda and I've got 10" on the Valiant. I'm using a 180 thermostat and a 190 degree fan switch. Works great and the whirling...

    Northern Radiator Fan Shrouds?

Coalman, what engine are you running in the 66? I have Champion radiators in my 65 Valiant and my 66 Cuda with small blocks. Not a whole lot of room in there with the engine driven fans.

    Vintage air unit

I just ordered a unit for my 67 Dart from Classic . I want to use my original controls. My dash is out and was just painted so now is the time. Unfortunately I was told 6-8 weeks for the unit so I am on the list. I had to change the water pump over to the 70 and up model to fit the pulleys for...

a/c compressor brackets for small block

Thanks for the input everyone. I have a pic of a black 63 Valiant with an underdash a/c unit and his compressor is mounted low on the drivers side. Unfortunately the underhood pic doesn't show his brackets for the compressor.

a/c compressor brackets for small block

Hey everyone, I want to add a/c to my 65 Valiant. I have a 360 that's going in it. I'd like to mount the compressor down low where the power steering pump would be. Does anyone have a setup like this or know where I might find the brackets for this? I've seen the mounting brackets up high in the...

vintage air in an early A body

Thanks Darter6 I contacted Classic Auto Air today to inquire about the 67 A body setup in an early A. I completely forgot that the wiper motor location changed from inside to outside in 67. They basically told me the inside wiper motor in the early A keeps the 67 setup from fitting. I'll look...

vintage air in an early A body

That's funny. My wife calls our's Carl the Cuda. Don't think she'll ever give me the "ok" to sell it. It's not a princess by any means but it's definitely part of the family.

vintage air in an early A body

I understand. I also have a 66 Cuda that I rescued from the Nevada desert years ago. I drive it daily in summer. No a/c, just the floor vents. Love the silver paint on yours. Faded paint and patina is how I roll.

vintage air in an early A body

Syleng, Looks like a very clean installation. Is the bulkhead fitting panel a custom made piece or did you buy that? Does that unit do defrost, heat and cooling? Are you happy with it or would you do something different if you had to do it again?

vintage air in an early A body

Do you have a pic of dash controls and vents installed?

vintage air in an early A body

Syleng1, were you able to keep the factory floor vent box on the passenger side? I kinda like those boxes. They pull in a lot of fresh air.

vintage air in an early A body

Was it the kit with the heater box or just the under dash unit that resembles what dealerships installed back in the day?

vintage air in an early A body

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about putting an aftermarket a/c system in my 65 Valiant. Nobody seems to make a model specific unit for this car so I will have to piece something together. Does anyone have an under the dash model from vintage air or any other company in their early A body? Looking...
