    Resetting Odometer to 000000

not to mention the fact that most of our cars odometers have been wrapped, so they don't even show actual mileage anyways.

    Anybody try dyeing seatbelts?

we have a couple hundred miles of black 2" seat belt webbing at work- how much do ya need lol.

    package tray cardboard

^yep- pushes in under the sail panels and below the rear window, then there's a couple clips that slide onto the front edge of it before the seat back is installed.

    built a new package tray

I suppose that could be it- my Stealth does the same from the dash( very common with mitsus), but not nearly to the extent my Duster is doing it...

    built a new package tray

I made one basically the same way... Question for anyone who has made one this way- did you have any problems with a film on the inside of the windows? I have a horrible film that builds up on my glass (if the car sits for a week or so it looks like Cheech and Chong were in the car for a...

    Difficulty with Vinyl

yep, that's the correct kind of vinyl for the purpose-like Okla said, it's hard to get better results than that on armrests because they don't really lend themselves to being recovered by flat vinyl- the door panels will be a lot easier to work on.

    Difficulty with Vinyl

are you trying to use self-adhesive (as in 'sign') vinyl? If so, that's the wrong stuff for interior pieces- you want to use a heavier 'upholstery' vinyl, and use an adhesive with it (I always preferred contact cement, but some of the spray adhesives work well too. If you're already using that...

    Where did my whatchamacallit go?

it probably broke in half at the points where the shifter goes through- that's usually what happens to them. ....mine is a piece of an ice cream pail painted flat black lol.

Is this bench seat correct for a 73 Duster?

that's why it looked different than my Scamp- it had the fold-down armrest.

Is this bench seat correct for a 73 Duster?

I can't say for sure, but I can tell you that the one in my '73 Scamp was different...

Reproduction or restoration for Headrest?? 1970

I took the shift boot from my Stealth to the guy who re-covered the buckets in my Duster. He took it apart and built me a new one. If he had said I should just buy a repop I would have went to another upholsterer. In other words, I agree with ESP47- try another upholsterer:D

    67 Dart shoulder harness anchor?

even funnier is the engineer who decided to hook up a set of shoulder belts like that. One of the goofiest things I've ever seen (and I'm sure the rear seat passengers loved it too).

    '76 Valiant dash pad

I think mine is from PG too- not an exact reproduction, but definitely a nice looking unit.

    homemade console shifter slide

don't have any pics, but the one in my Duster is from an ice cream pail (can't remember if it's from the lid or the bucket lol) and it's been in there for about 15 years.

Vinyl interior tears- best way to manage without replacing?

^probably not going to help MR, but Canadian Tire has those kits up here -if you can find a place that sells Permatex stuff, they made the kit I bought (can't tell you how it works, though- never got around to using it) edit- btw, this kit came with a little 'anvil' that you heated up and ran...

Which dash should I use? Chevy Cobalt or Dodge Charger

well, I for one am not against the Cobalt and choosing the Charger. I think they would both look extremely out of place in an old mopar.

    emblem help

if they're the same as exterior emblems, you're looking for barrel clips. I bought mine for my side 'Duster' emblems at Napa. here's a page that has several examples so you can see what I mean (ignore the pens lol) http://www.thefind.com/office/info-emblem-barrel-clip

Reproduction chrome pieces - low quality, Just me?

yep, my bumpers were done when the guy who built the car re-did it in 1980. They would still be perfect if the guy I bought it from knew how to handle horsepower (i.e. the front one would't be bent and crumpled on the passenger side lol).

    Interior Upholstery Questions

was going to suggest that- mine were done by a local guy-matched the rear seat, about $400 for both buckets, including materials: ...then again, that was about 15 years ago:D

    speed-o-meter is wacky +5???

that's what I was wondering- is it off by 5mph -in other words 'zeroing' the needle (pull it off and put it back on zero in lay terms lol) would fix it, or is the speed off by 5 mph at a certain speed (I can't see it always being off by 5 mph) in which case a different speedo gear is needed...

How to fix a loose rear view mirror base? Any ideas??

if it's the type that has a ball and socket (as opposed to a remote-type) you can do like I did to the rear-view mirror in my Duster: to stop it from flopping around, I spread some krazy glue on the ball, then moved it around while it dried (so it wouldn't actually glue it in place). The glue...

    Demon Rear seat Removal

yep, iirc there are clips behind the seat back that catch the front edge of the package tray to hold it down, but once you get the seat back out they'll be quite obvious.

    Demon Rear seat Removal

lol I couldn't remember how accurate it was- I tried to take my seat out a few weeks ago to run the wire for my remote trunk release, but one of my arms wasn't working because of a pinched nerve in my neck, so I couldn't get it:D

    Demon Rear seat Removal

I don't have a picture, but here's a quick (ok, very quick lol) ms paint drawing of what the hook looks like (iirc). The arrow faces front, and the round part is the hook on the bottom of the seat. you can see how the seat has to be pushed like 73 described to release it.
