I had TA's on my Duster back when I had a 400 HP 340 (12 second car), and I had no traction problems at all -of course, I also had those traction bars that don't help Mopars (lol)

same with my Stealth (and these rims have leaked since I got them).

I was thinking the exact same thing- I think the combination of big rims in a 'vintage' style is maybe why I like it...

that looks real good- maybe I'll do that to the rims on my Stealth- the clearcoat is chipping on them in quite a few spots (I imagine that would remove it) and they need to be redone.

larger diameter rims shouldn't put any extra stress on anything as long as a person is going with lower profile tires. It's not like those idiots putting 30" tall rims with 36" tall tires on their 'donks' and then spinning axles off, even if their Caprices still only have the 150 hp or so they...

the ones on my Scamp were about $98 total lol- $75 for the rims (with about 6 center caps to mix and match), $15 for the trim rings (not correct, I know, but I like 'em) and about $8 for the paint:D

I had aftermarket ones on my Scamp (pictured here- I like the chrome more than the stock ones) and I never had a problem either

any idea how much a set 1/8" thick (or even 1/16 if possible-aluminum would be fine) would cost? I have the odd rub at lock on the fronts and have thought about bringing them out a little to eliminate it.

shouldn't matter-if they're anything like the 5zigens on my Stealth, they use a tapered 'tuner' lugnut anyways, and not a shoulder-type lug. edit-the main thing will probably be making sure that you get hubcentric rings

same here, what everyone else said. Those don't look 'big'- I think, like 67Dart273 said, it's the black... the style doesn't look out of place on an old car.

that's about a 15% change in tire height, so it's about a 15% change in you speedometer too. If you normally get 250 miles to a tank and this time you got (an indicated) 220, you're pretty much bang on. If you normally get 300 and you got an indicated 270, your mileage is actually better...

especially if there is still a vibration (at least if it's a wheel vibration). All those weights should be there to stop balance-related problems.
