Finally getting to it!!! 1970 Duster 340

I bought a stripe kit from them for my '98 Ram SS/T just a few years ago. The original silver stripes lasted 15+ years in the Florida sun. PG's repops didn't even make it 3. Shoddy.

Great to see you re-energized and making progress, Chris. Looks awesome. I'll have to swing by for a firsthand look the next time that I'm out your way.

    Headliner wrestling

THAT would be the operative part of that sentence. Pull a new one out of the box, put your old headliner bows in it and give it a whirl. You'll come back singing a new tune in less than half an hour. Ray

Thanks. I've been typing that word a lot today - glad to see that my fellow A-Body enthusiasts share my afinity for this former cast-off. It was just a good "Fishin' Car" when we got it... LOL. The carb is a Barry Grant 625 CFM Road Demon. It's a holdover from the earlier version of this...

Actually I just decided that it was far easier to mask off and paint that way!!! LOL! The '70 vertical slats are silver in the front half and black in the back half; too much work without a paint template... Tire size: 255/60/15 on 15X7 Rear and 225/60/14 on 14X6 Front. Both SBP. Hood...

Thank-You! Given the nature of your comment I'll assume that you'd also be interested to know that it was treated to a Steer and Gear "Firm" steering box and drives like a dream. It had drums at all four corners so I upgraded to the K-H four piston set-up from the same Duster that also gave...

Hey Adam: Thanks. It's the original F4 Lime Green Metallic (I'm pulling the name of the color from memory - but think that's right) redone in a Sherwin Williams base coat/clear coat. I've heard similar comments on their converters over the years, but never had a problem myself...

Hey Guys: Thanks for the positive comments. To respond to your queries/comments: 3404speed: That's a good question! I guess the Swinger is also well trained...LOL JohnnyDart: It really is her car so there's no "letting" her drive it. I've got a garage full of toys and making sure...

Thanks for the kind words, Rick. It's my Sweetie's pride & joy - which makes it hard to get her to drive it; she's terrified some blue hair on a mission to get to the "early bird special" or some teen driving while on a cell phone will plow into her and reduce it to scrap metal. Nevertheless...

So a few weeks ago someone started a thread about Christmas Mopar presents and I replied by noting that I got nothing and the wife hit the Mother Lode. I promised to post a few pics when I got a chance. Well, today the weather was beautiful (my insincere apologies to those of you that choose to...
