    Wrong Alternator?

I bought one the other day and came up with the same situation. Since it was going on a restoration, I decided to take the original and have it rebuilt locally. I did notice On the newer square back that they had clipped one of the field wire spades off so that you cannot plug anything on it. I...

you should have a ground wire, a switched 12v power wire, a ignition signal wire and one going to the instrument lights so when you turn on the headlights you also light the tach.

Can a wire gauge be too large?

If you are using a later style water pump, then the lower radiator hose will also be on the wrong side for the stock 66 Radiator. The correct pump and radiator has the lower hose on the drivers side.

65 Cuda Part Two Rear turn signals

No, as you add more blinkers to the system, the fluid cannot return to the resevior fast enough and then the blinker fluid pump starts running dry, thus it starts drawing air and causing all blinking to stop. If that doesn't work, you may check the bulbs and make sure they are not broken...

    No Parking Lights

Glad you found it. I was going to suggest that as I just read, but see you found it. They put the dash lights and taillights on the same circuit so that if you blew a fuse and had no taillights, you would notice this because you also had no dash lights.

Car Won't Start After Removing Interior and Gauges

And they are hot if the battery is hooked up. If they touch metal and ground out, they will burn a hole in your dash really quick. Don't ask me how I know these things. :banghead:
