    Used oil container

Most recyclers really don't like it when you have mixed coolant with oil in a container.

    Shop Vac

I've got a wall mounted shop vacuumcleaner. Old beast, don't recall the name at the moment. It's about the size of R2D2 and makes noise like there's a fighterjet powerbraking right before a fullblast take-off, about 10 feet away. Turn it on and if you don't walk away quickly I'm sure there will...

    LED bulbs for garage/shop

What an enlightening topic in these dark days before Christmas! :) I've been eyeballing LED lighting for awhile now but can't seem to shake the feeling the current prices are just the 'early stages' of the market and most manufacturers just try to 'grab' what market will bear. I think, just...

    Engine Test Stand

Very nice work. During my latest engine build I also decided I wanted an engine stand to run in the engine in a more controlled way. The building of the stand has become a project by itself because of constant decission changes in what and how to install.

    Best degreaser lab test

If it has warnings about not exposing it to aluminium too long then it contains an amount of 'lye'.

I bought a 'new' air compressor for the shop, it dates back to 1931

40psi should be just enough to fill your tires with, or blow dust of your desk... >:-) Cool find.

How to drill through hardened steel??

Such a tiny part, I would anneal it, drill hole, then re(surface)harden. Torch it red hot for awhile, then let it cool down by itself. Drill hole Reharden by torching it red hot again and dunk it in water.

    Garage decor ideals

My garage looks like a... garage I think. If you got room for 'decor', you're not using your garage as a garage, or to it's full capacity. Just stash it with stuff and screw decor...

    Cam Bearing Install Tool.

I never use lubricant to install cambearings. Just tap them in dry. I want them to be stuck in there good. No, a bigblock mopar since that's pretty much all I do usually. Although at the moment I'm working on a 360 so maybe it's time to fab up a few more mandrels for the smallblock cam...

    Cam Bearing Install Tool.

I've spent some time on my lathe one day and made one for myself; Gives a slight bit more satisfaction being able to knock out/in those bearings with a selfmade tool.

Drive on Lift for the Garage

Sounds more like you need to stop and learn about How you should be putting a car on jackstands. Maybe you're trying to put the car too high in one go or something.

    HF portable tire changer

Before I bought myself an actuall tirechanger I used to change them by hand aswell. Well, hands and feet that is... As for breaking the tire off the rim, I usedf my 4-post carlift with a car on it for that. Just position the wheel right under thelift and let it drop just shy of the rim. Usually...

MAN!!! I need ta' restock the lathe room, LOL

Powerwagon, I thought about that, but the hassle of transporting the bed back and forth and finding a company locally that could do this was more trouble then I was willing to go through. Also I didn't know about the wear until I started using the tailstock a few times. Also after I had just...

MAN!!! I need ta' restock the lathe room, LOL

Some 5 years ago I bough the old lathe from FABO-member 'EDWIN'. Since it was transported in parts, upon arrival I decided to clean and paint it up nicely again. Another project had been born. After a few painstaking days of degreasing and removing the old layers of paint on the hunks...
