Use 'Dolphin' internet browser. It blocks a lot of sideloaded crap downloaded over your smartphone plan that nobody wants.

That's normal. That's what YouTube is for. Movies usually take up many gigabytes of webspace on a server. You don't want that on a forum. YouTube is well equipment to deal with that and provide a link to post with an embeddable mediaplayer that works on pretty much all computers out there.

Just use YouTube like the rest of the world which works on every platform.

Why not put a redirect to https into .htaccess so everyone automaticly ends up on the SSL-version of the site?
