They are probably the most cheaply constructed filter because that is the only filter sold at Wal-mart, Wal-mart buys in such large quantities that they can dictate how much they are going to pay. The end result is products made as cheap as posible. JMO. I agree Wix are good filters.

I had one like that too, blew the piston apart. Mine was caused by a failed rod bolt(s), sent the rod through the side of the block.
