    Working on my dash!

A little help to visualize yours, this was all the restored / coated interior trim for a '64 Fury including the dash. It all turned out smoother than a baby's butt! It's already picking up for the Fall Teardown Season. Get in touch if I can help with yours too. (PirateShip.com is my...

    Any Tips for Dash Removal?

Absent a bunch of reconstruction / repair work, factory dash frames are usually around $150.

source for black suede dash paint in a spay can

I will be ordering a pound of a black leatherette powder in a few days for a famed Rocky Mountain Dash that came in. There's enough to go around! Still smiling at the "spay can." Soooo much easier than that pesky trip to the vet! :poke:

67 Dart rear window regulator exploded view anyone?

I don't know if they still do it but Year One catalogs have tons of Exploded View diagrams in them with parts names.

How to polish up old chrome center console

The center console pieces are pot metal so be careful if you sand on it. Yours looks wayyyy better already than any I have gotten in to work up.

Interior trim before or after glass install

The dash has to be installed before the windshield goes in. Otherwise you won't be able to access the hardware.

anyone ever mount gauges on the A pillar?

x2 here Riddler! I pretty much did the same thing with mine but used a damp sponge on the wet JB Weld to duplicate the look of the textured dash. I wish I still had the thing ... and the car. I miss that little beastie.

anyone ever mount gauges on the A pillar?

I had a similar setup (with 3 gauges) on an '83 Mustang GT. I loved it!!!

    Dash restoration

Here's an example of a powder coated one I did for CudaGirl and Cosgig ... semi gloss black on the assembly and components with a different color inside the ash tray.

    Dash restoration

There ARE high temp metal fillers you can use under powder. After trying them all, the ones that were "designed" for powder coating use are nothing but crap in my opinion. I prefer the Permatex High Temp Metal Compound.

    Interior Paint, Gloss or Semi-Gloss

Exactly -- you want it to look like suede or leather instead of an air cleaner lid. << grin >> Eastwood is a specialty restoration company that in my opinion tries to be all things to all motorheads. Keep in mind that most if not everything they sell can be found elsewhere from its original...

    Interior Paint, Gloss or Semi-Gloss

JGC, that powder you're looking at is going to be the wrong texture for a dash altogether. As Bennie / RedFish mentioned, check other suppliers for a "leatherette" powder. Any wrinkle, vein or river will not be what you're trying to achieve (and going through Eastwood is not in your best...

    I need interior trim clips

Thank you. Mine's a '68 so I'll check out their online catalog to confirm. I was thinking 16 all together but it's been a 'few' (ahem) years since I took it off so you're probably right on the 11.

    Interior help with lost part.

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant their printed catalog. It's been years since I bought one but it was $7.50, and there was a coupon tucked inside for $10 off my first order. The diagrams proved invaluable during reassembly. I had about 10 years of rolling chassis before my paint job and it was tough...

    Interior help with lost part.

If you have a Year One catalog handy, there are dozens of Exploded View diagrams throughout for almost every major assembly. At a minimum, you can see what it looks like and find out the name of it to buy one from Mr. G's (mrgusa.com) or R/T Specialties.

    Fab'd new shifter and cover

Haaaa, that's funny! I've seen your work and you're definitely no slouch yourself! When you want to coat something that's a half inch larger than your oven you'll do what I did and build one. Right 6pkDemon2go?!? Lol ... I wish YOU were closer cuz I could use some help to catch up :-D

    New carpet help

You don't have to get it super hot with a heat gun, just wave it around on the back where your difficulties are until it softens a bit and then form it into place. It'll help tighten up the sags and make it look more professional.

    Please..some help here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mine was a basketcase when I bought it too. The headliner installation was one of three things I farmed out on my car and it was a well-spent $60. (It would've been better spent if the 'highly recommended' installer would've notched it for the rearview mirror and visor mounts though ... :-( )...

    Dynamat...Worth The $?

Check out something called Raam (I think that's how it's spelled). A couple of my friends went with it and are DELIGHTED. I've still got a gallon of LizardSkin, unopened ... after like 4 years now (typical of my slow-azz build LOL) ... so don't ask me. :-D
