I think you might regret wrinkle on the dash. It won't be very easy to keep clean with the texture, especially right up around the glass.

    Arthur’s Duster

A wonderful story! Thanks for sharing. The guy I bought mine from in 1991 passed away a few months after I bought it too. He never got to see what I turned it into, but I guarantee he was my first passenger when that beastie finally fired up for the first time. Thank you and Arthur for...

    Mopar performance valve covers

It's so tough I chemically strip them instead of spending hours at the blast cabinet. You won't like what's under it, especially if you intend to try to polish them like the pic you posted. The top six shots are close ups of just a few of the dozens of nearly identical defects found on every...

@Biomedtechguy, Michael's is the only one like it to ever cross my bench. I don't know who that third guy might be.

1968 Barracuda Notch - Plano, TX

My sd card on the camera was full so I reformatted it. I didn't think to turn the date impression off. Tenth day, seventh month. (So busy here I wouldn't be surprised if it was October already lol!) I can't wait to see the stuff bolted on Mike!! Your car is definitely one for the record books...

    68 twin turbo dart project.

I'd be willing to bet the warpage was caused by excessive air pressure during blasting than simply powder coating it.

    1973 Dart 340 Sport Project

I hope that is a high temp ceramic finish. Cosmetic powder coating -- even the high temp (which maxes out at 1200 degrees) -- will not hold up to exhaust temps.

    72 Duster Resurrection

First off, thank you both for checking out some of my work and for the awesome compliment! As far as the "effectiveness" goes, since your suspension parts aren't really a huge amount of surface area and it seems you're a pretty hands-on kind of guy, you might consider just burning it all off...

    72 Duster Resurrection

If you sand blast the powder off, it might work ... but you'll probably tear up the surrounding areas too. Whether it comes off at all is going to depend on a well-done job versus a hack job. :D Like painting a car, great prep is everything. They make Powder Coating Stripper. It's not...

Chomp chomp!!!! Kev, you never ever fail to put a smile on my face! I miss you and Deb -- we should talk. Thanks @Tooljunkie for the awesome compliment and sharing your thoughts. I knew at the outset I'd never get rich or retire to a tropical island doing what I do. As long as I can keep...

    Cuda Console Restoration

Thanks for the kind compliments Mike! I'm not really one to post up stuff like that randomly but if you want to share pictures at any time, I won't complain. Straight up though, nowadays I simply try to talk people out of sending me pot metal parts to restore and this is why. Pot metal...

1972 Canadian H-Code 340 Dart Swinger Special Resto - Finally started!

It's just my own two cents from years in the powder industry, but leaf springs are one of those "touchy" things you should only trust to a VERY experienced coater. Leaf springs have Delrin liners in between each leaf, a specialized (usually Teflon) item that does not hold up to the heat...

    What does it cost?

I was / am an executive assistant by trade. Not only do I keep records and notes on most everything, I can find 'em too :D. But if you reread my earlier post Matt, you'll see I don't wanna know either even though it's now been another five years since I wrote it. The word "worth" has its own...
