    OPINIONS ON EXHAUST SOUND

Hmm... Very interesting, on those Cherry Bomb Vortex's... I got 2 of those in 3 inch last year during a clearance sale. I'll be using those really soon. Thanks for the data!

    OPINIONS ON EXHAUST SOUND

I currently have dual 2 1/2 with X-pipes and Magnaflows (straight through). I have very little drone, and burbles very nicely at idle. My Duster is a daily driver. I have 3.21 rears gears. With a pretty high build 360 and an A999 auto trans. 3.21's are a good all-around gear if you do a lot of...

1971 Duster exhaust smell in cabin after new muffler and tail pipe

As did my old 1984 Dodge Ramcharger... Man I miss that truck.

1971 Duster exhaust smell in cabin after new muffler and tail pipe

Also double check all the firewall plugs while you're at it too. I had that problem as well. I mean it wasn't bad for me, but occasionally I had a slight exhaust smell in my cabin every time I cruised at low speeds or when I sat in traffic for more than a few minutes. It wasn't strong but it...

    340 muffler decision

Well he did say he was replacing the Flowmasters. Why suggest another one? As for me, I too can't stand the tinny sound of Flowmasters. Any of them, 40, super 44, 50 series. Tried them all and got tired of them as they droned bad. I too have an X pipe 2.5 inch dual. I'm using Magnaflow's...

What exhaust sounds good for 340s?

Good one! Never been a fan of chambered mufflers. I had a 3 inch flowmaster 40 setup on my old 1983 Dodge power ram with a hi-flow cat. Cruising at 65mph my RPM would be at about 3000 RPM (4.11 gears and 33 inch tires, with 727 auto). It was cool for like 10 days. Then I got quickly tired of it...

What exhaust sounds good for 340s?

It all depends on the overall setup. Can't beat the flow of X-pipes, I have X-pipes and I've had many people at car shows complimented on how good my Duster sounds.

What exhaust sounds good for 340s?

I don't have a 340, I have a 360, I've had many moparheads locally who thought I had a 340 just because of the way she sounds. Here's one of a while ago with a comp mutha' thumpr cam. where to outlet my exhaust

Yep I got dual 3 inch exhausts as well with Summit Street & Strip muffler. I have them routed out back with cheapo turndowns. I might have them replaced with dual 2.5's with X-pipe, chrome turndowns and either magnaflows or dynomax's.

    Header Gaskets...

Percy's Seal 4 good. They are supposedly re-usable. I have no problems with them whatsoever. They sealed way better than the gasket that came with my Hooker header.

    318 exhaust manifolds on a 360

Yes there is a difference. There was an article I read awhile back comparing 318 & 340 exhaust manifolds to headers and such. I'll try to find that article again.
