    I have not gotten the pins pressed out yet. There is no copper visible in any of the big end saddles. But the rods were only machined on the side that rides against the other rod. I’m beginning to think that these particular rods were clad in order make up side clearance.

    I’m not questioning your build in the least. I’ve just been advised not to push the compression envelope in a towing motor. So I have second guessed my build, also taking into account that the KB’s aren’t the toughest piston out there.

    Turbulence I guess. Reversion starts as a combination of overlap and exhaust charge not getting fully expelled, so that when IVO the cylinder pressure is still more than atmospheric and reverts back into the intake. Now, a turbulent intake does not help and CAN compound the problem. Exhaust port...

    Brian6pac, if I could make a suggestion from experience please? You're gonna want to get a longer external oil hose. And use 45 degree fitting off the pump. Loop it upwards then back down to your pan 90 turned almost straight in the air. If you using a motor plate it looks like it will fit...

    My 2002 MP catalog has an intake listed, low deck-stage vi-4500 flg- P4529725. this one i have has a 4150 flg but looks like if you milled of an inch it would be 4500. I wonder if they were all the same intake, but the 4500 's are shorter?

The intake is max wedge size and is wider than any RB as it is intended to fit RB WITH Raised port heads. So it will not fit anything except RB raised port.
